Sunshinedays2

I have no idea who "sunshinedays2" is, beyond the fact that they post on Tumblr, speak Russian, and might be female. (I could probably learn more, but that would mean signing up for a Tumblr account.) Also that they've recently started posting some absolutely terrific Rifters art that brings some love to the much-reviled third volume of the trilogy. They've put out enough work to justify its own subsection. Enjoy.

...When You Stare Into the Rift...

Being a very cool animation by Armenian digital artist and game designer Fedor Danilov, set off by itself because my gallery software can't handle audio-containing mp4s.

Rotter & Cisowska: The Maelstrom Shoot.

Adam Rotter took these; Karolina Nem Cisowska posed for them. Unusually, they were inspired not by Starfish but by Maelstrom; the result is a spread of desolation and death somewhat at odds with Adam's usual work as— wait for it— a wedding photographer.

He's posted these pictures over on facebook, under the title Projekt "Syrena"; most are accompanied by the bits of Maelstrom that inspired them. I've stolen both pictures and passages for re-use here, with Adam's permission and with my profound gratitude. It takes a certain gift to see the beauty in carnage.
